The Academic Excellence Scholarship (AES) aims to reward students with excellent academic performance in the first to third academic year. This interim policy is open to undergraduate students enrolled in 2021. If GTIIT revised the policy of AES entirely, the policy will be subject to the revised one. 

Levels and Values of Academic Excellence Scholarship:

·       First-class Scholarship, the value of which is 100,000 RMB/year, will be awarded to the top 2.5% of students in the program according to the GPA of the academic year. 

·       Second-class Scholarship, the value of which is 75,000 RMB/year, will be awarded to top 2.5%-7.5% of students in the program according to the GPA of the academic year.   

·       Third-class scholarship, the value of which is 50,000 RMB/year, will be awarded to top 7.5%-15% of students in the program according to the GPA of the academic year.

Qualification:

To win Academic Excellence Scholarship, the student should meet the following conditions:

1. The student must comply with      laws and regulations, and Student Code of Conduct, and never receive any probation      or more severe sanction;

2. The student should have Good Academic      Standing, namely in the past academic year, finishing all required courses, failing no more than one course, achieving GPA ranking in top 2.5% (for      first-class winners), 7.5% (for second-class winners), and 15% (for      third-class winners), in his/her program.

In any single academic year, student will only get one of the scholarships- either the Chancellor’s Scholarship or the Academic Excellence scholarship.

Final decisions are subject to the GTIIT Scholarship Committee.
