GTIIT faculty visited Shantou Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall, Ceramic Micro-calligraphy Art Gallery, east coast of Shantou and Qing'ao Bay in Nao'ao Island, tasted the authentic Chao Cuisine and appreciated tea ceremony at Jianye Restaurant.
The profound Chaoshan culture has stunned GTIITfaculty and their families!
In Shantou Intangible Cultural HeritageExhibition Hall, GTIIT faculty and their families were amazed by exhibits, say, Yingge Dance, Aoyu Dance, Centipede Dance, drawings inside small vases, porcelain carvings, Chao Embroidery and paper cutting, which vividly illustrated the delicate Chaoshan custom. Gloria, the English teacher in GTIIT, appreciated the Chaoshan custom was so effectively protected. From the exhibition hall, we could image that Chinese government had input a lot of efforts in cultural heritage protection, which shall be praised, said Moshe Sheintuch, Dean of the College of Engineering.
The magnificent masterpieces in Ceramic Micro-calligraphy Art Gallery caught the eyeballs of GTIIT faculty and their families.
Tea ceremony, Chaoshan snacks workshop and Chaoshan food in Jianye Restaurant gave GTIIT faculty and their families a deeper glance of Shantou.
Later, GTIIT faculty and their families enjoyed a good time in picturesque east coast and Qing'ao Bay.
