Dr. Yuanyuan Shi, new GTIIT postdoctoral fellow at Prof. Mario Lanza’s group, receives the prestigious Electron Devices Society excellent PhD student award. The prize was given in a solemn ceremony at the 2018 International Electron Devices Meeting, held in San Francisco (USA) between December 1st and 5th. 

Dr. Yuanyuan Shi receives this prize for her work on memristive electronic synapses made of layered dielectrics, which was recently published in Nature Electronics.

This recognition increases the track record of Prof. Lanza's students, who also got other important awards, such as the Royal Society of Chemistry excellent PhD student award. In that case, the student awarded was Dr. Fei Hui, also a GTIIT postdoc.
