"Deepen the Reform of Talents Management System" has become one of the most important investigation topics for Shantou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference(CPPCC).
On the afternoon of Mar.19, members of CPPCC Shantou Committee visited GTIIT to hear voices from faculty and staff, thus to better attract and serve talents.
Pro-vice Chancellor of GTIIT, Prof. Lin Danming, faculty representatives, and department heads of Chancellor Office, Finance, Human Resources, Student Affairs, News and Public Affairs, Research, Innovation and Graduate Studies, attended the meeting.
PVC Lin introduced the overall talents situation of GTIIT, as well as the measures taken and the difficulties faced in terms of talents introduction and development. Faculty representatives and department heads put forward many suggestions, including accelerating the establishment of the Research Building and the South Campus, retaining talents through rational tax preference polices, creating a more international environment, building scientific research exchange platform, speeding up the building of international school for foreign children, simplifying the administrative procedures, and improving the supporting entrepreneurship policies for returnees.
The delegation of Shantou Committee CPPCC pointed out that as a broad and deep talent pool, GTIIT will make positive contributions to the cultivation of high-end talents. "The suggestions you mentioned above are meaningful and valuable to the effective implement of talents introduction and development. We will draft proposals based on your suggestions to promote a better living and working environment."
