Position Description                                                                      

The interior designer plays a key role in all interior design projects of the university, including participating in design, review of drawings, and supervising projects, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities                                                                    

· Participate in project design, preliminary design and review of construction drawings; develop project design plans and design tasks.

· Develop designs according to school needs, complete construction drawings, present sketches and finish follow-up tracking.

· Guide the external consultants to carry out detailed design; Connect and review all drawings with the construction team.

· Participate in the construction management and supervision of the design project.

· Responsible for taking meeting minutes, translating documents and completing other tasks assigned by the superior.

Required Job Specifications                                                                

· Required qualification: Bachelor degree or above in architecture, interior design, art design or relevant majors; Candidate with Class-A institute design experience and/or overseas education background is preferred.

· Work experience: Experience in large-scale interior design projects and construction process management, experience of on-site construction and strong ability of on-site construction coordination, or experience of working on university/office projects is preferred.

Required Job Competencies                                                                

· Language ability: Fluency both in oral and written English;

· Familiar with interior design process and can complete design tasks independently and efficiently;

· Specialize in the selection and matching of fabric materials of different interior decoration products;

· Familiar with the industry and market. Understand products, design styles and price system;

· Candidates should have a good sense of dimension, color matching ability, understanding and practical knowledge of sketching, creative ideas and an outstanding portfolio. He/she should be able to follow the design projects and complete soft decoration design and selection independently, including furniture, light, fabric, paintings, carpets, decorative ornaments, etc.;

· Familiar with various decorative styles and have a high level of aesthetic knowledge;

· Good computer skills in Photoshop, Sketchup, Powerpoint, Outlook, Word, Excel and Autodesk AutoCAD.
