Position Description  

The Materials Science and Engineering Program within GTIIT is looking for a motivated lab manager to support the daily operation/management of the teaching labs.

Position Responsibilities

•   Installation of new equipment in the lab area

•   Participating in the equipment operation course of new equipement to be given by the equipment manufacturers

•   Updating the experiments instructions for the students according to the instruction manual of the new equipment

•   On-going setting and operating the equipment

•   Maintaining the lab equipment in collaboration with the technical support of the equipment suppliers

•   Training new lab instructors in operating the equipment for each experiment

•   Providing technical assistance and training the students who are using the Lab analytical tools for their final projects

•   Maintaining the safety procedures of the lab

Requried Job Specifications

•   Required Educational Background: At least MSc in Materials Engineering (PhD preferred)

•   Required experience:

• Hands on experience in experimental MSE

• Managerial experience is an advantage

• Teaching and guidance experience in academic frameworks is an advantage

Required Job Competencies

•     Language Ability: fluence in English conversation, reading and writing

•     Good interaction with people,

•     Ability and readiness for self-learning, including development of new experiments in a variety of MSE fields in collaboration with the faculty members
