Position Description

The Materials Science and Engineering Program within GTIIT is looking for a motivated lab technician and manager to support the research and training activities in a high-end surface analysis laboratory.

我校材料科学与工程系现需招聘一名熟悉使用光电子能谱进行表面分析的技术员/主任来管理实验室。

Duties and Responsibilities                                                                    

The main duties include:

主要职责包括：

1.      Maintain the equipment of the surface analysis lab (the tools, spare parts, consumables, etc.) including interaction with the equipment suppliers

负责实验室仪器的维护与日常保养,并采购相关耗材

2.      Maintain and implement all safety requirements of the lab

确保仪器的安全操作

3.      Interface with various research groups to understand photoelectron spectroscopy characterization needs and help to develop experimental plans to provide structural characterization of materials

向学校内部各个科研组提供光电子能谱测量的技术咨询

4.      Provide training to users for equipment, operation and data analysis

为用户提供培训,以及数据分析的讲解

5.      Adhere to and propagate modern standards in data analysis

掌握关于光电子能谱技术的最新数据分析手段

6.      Provide photoelectron spectroscopy instrument service when needed and schedule access and operation for various users

提供仪器操作测量的服务

7.      Review experimental data, communicate results to projects and help draw conclusions to further material understanding

为学校科研人员提供数据分析的建议和见解

8.      Establish procedures for safety and operation with stakeholders

撰写仪器的安全操作手册

9.      Develop new methods and equipment together with stakeholders

进行新光电子能谱的技术开发

10.  Keep lab clean and tidy and keep logbooks up to date

确保实验室整洁和使用记录完整

Required Job Specifications& Competencies                                                    

1.      Master or Ph.D. degree in Materials Science or Engineering, Semiconductor, or Condensed Matter Physics

材料科学或工程、半导体或凝聚态物理学的硕士或博士学位

2.      >2-years hands-on experience in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) technique

在X射线光电子能谱（XPS）技术方面有2年以上的实际工作经验

3.      Experiences in Ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) and Inverse photoemission spectroscopy (IPES) are preferred

有UPS和IPES操作经验者优先

4.      Advanced computing skills (scientific software)

优秀的计算机技能（科学软件）

5.      Excellence in safety aspects and quality

在安全方面和质量方面有卓越的表现

6.      Good communication skills, Good command of English and Chinese

良好的沟通能力，中英文流利

7.      Ability to learn and apply advanced methods in photoelectron spectroscopy
