Dmitry Mologin

Visiting Tutor

Dr. Mologin received his PhD in physical chemistry in 1998 from Tver State University, Russia, where he investigated self-assembly of polymers. After his PhD he was involved in different interdisciplinary research projects aimed to develop novel principles and predictive methods for the rational design of polymer-based nanomaterials. In particular, he took part in the Wolfgang Paul Award Project ?Sequence Design of Functional Copolymers?, at Ulm University, Germany (2002-2003).  Dr. Mologin later moved to Technion, Israel, where he took part in developing of organo-mineral nano-admixtures for different types of concrete with special properties (High-Strength/High-Performance concrete, waterproof concrete, etc.). In the group of Prof. Avi Marmur he also investigated ultra-stable forms stabilized by surface-modified nanoparticles and hydrophobic surfaces in the terms of their potential anti-icing capacity. Afterwards, he joined the group of Prof. Israel Schechter focused on development of fast spectrum analysis methods.
