Job Post - Data Analyst (for Engineering Purpose)

Start and ending dates of the work period: Oct. 8, 2018 – Jan. 7, 2019 (extendable based on performance)

Work type: Part time, 12 hrs/week

Salary: 40 RMB/hour for bachelor degree and 48 RMB/hour for master degree

Job Description

· Essential responsibilities: One part-time research assistant is needed to help us with data analysis using MATLAB. The applicant is required to have satisfactory knowledge of MATLAB programming for mathematical modelling and data analysis. We have developed constitutive models to predict the viscoelastic behaviours of polymers. The applicant’s responsibility will be to build the models in MATLAB, feed them with data (given), and find the best fit by changing some parameters.

· Desired responsibilities: Additionally, we have some mathematical modelling codes written in FORTRAN which need to be converted to MATLAB. The candidate can either use “f2matlab” software or re-write the codes in MATLAB.

Requirements

· Bachelor degree or above in mathematics, computer science, engineering or relevant fields

· Good English communication skills

· Proficiency in using MATLAB
