Gloria Sheintuch

Visiting Lecturer

Gloria Sheintuch is an employee at GTIIT for teaching English in the Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and Food Engineering programs.

Dr. Sheintuch holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Illinois, specializing in Theoretical Syntax. Prior to that Gloria Sheintuch received a Master's Degree in the same field from Tel-Aviv University, where she was also awarded a Teaching Certificate. 

Dr. Sheintuch has rich experience in teaching English and Composition to both native and non-native speakers, backed by research in the field and combined with intuitions derived from personal knowledge of 5 languages. She has over 20 research articles published in professional journals, and has delivered a similar number of invited lectures and presentations at professional conferences worldwide. During the time she served as a faculty member in the Humanities Department of Haifa University, Gloria Sheintuch held Visiting Lecturer positions at institutions like Tel-Aviv University, University of Texas and University of Houston.

In addition to an academic career, Dr. Sheintuch has broad experience in marketing of high-tech imaging and surgical medical systems. Her work in the field spanned a variety of capabilities, including market research, business case assessment, product definition, product positioning, product introduction campaigns, trade shows, marketing literature, market intelligence, public relations, sales training programs and technical documentation. She has held Marketing Management positions in companies ranging from large international corporations, such as General Electric and Elscint, to mid-size companies and small startups.
