Dr. Fabian Rios received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and M.Sc. in Materials Engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology; and his Ph.D. in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell USA.  He also holds an MBA from the University of Haifa.

Dr. Rios has been intermittently combining academic teaching and research with industrial development work for the last 25 years. He was a faculty member for nine years at the Department of Plastics Engineering at the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Tel Aviv and during the last six years he has been a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Material Engineering at the Technion in Israel, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses  on fluid dynamics, heat and mass transfer, polymer rheology and polymer processing. His academic research in the field of polymers, polymer composites and plastic product design has led to twelve refereed papers in professional journals, four refereed papers in conference proceedings and participation as a lecturer in several national and international conferences.

Dr. Rios has extensive experience in research and development at and for the Plastics Industry. He served for six years as a Senior Researcher for the Israeli Plastics and Rubber Center and held Research and Development Manager positions for more than ten years at two international polymer and plastics companies. His development work has led to various commercially successful products and he is a co-inventor of six patents and pending patents.
