Recently, the China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair 2022 (CIEF 2022) with the theme of “Science and Technology Innovation for Smart Future” launched in Guangzhou. This year's CIEF held several forum summits to assist in the commercialization of more innovation and entrepreneurship achievements in the Greater Bay Area. Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) was invited to attend the “Round-table Forum on Construction of National Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Talents”.

As one of the important events of CIEF 2022, the forum brought together global scientific research achievements, enterprises, innovation, venture capital resources and talents to create an offshore entrepreneurship base for overseas professionals.

Raanan Adin, Senior Consultant to Vice-President for Innovation and Industry Relations of GTIIT, addressed a keynote lecture entitled "Attracting Talents - an Innovator's Perspective" in the forum. He presented a unique insight of how an innovator's mind works, what motivates inventors and how Israel's entrepreneurial ecosystem encourages the creation and implementation of new technologies. Understanding these issues is a key to the success of China's National Overseas Talents Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bases. Also supporting the validation of new technologies developed by overseas talents in China, would be another key success factor of these bases. The keynote lecture ended with a short introduction of GTIIT's academic programs and technology commercialization center GTEC, which could effectively support the National Overseas Talents Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bases.

Michael Lv, Director of GTEC, participated in the first round of panel discussion: “experience sharing of offshore innovation and entrepreneurship from Israel the nation of creation”. He concludes his work experiences in a phrase: seek talents abroad and serve them at home. For example, GTIIT is the China campus of the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and its Israeli professor pool provides overseas professionals.

At the forum, GTIIT presented its advanced scientific achievements and technique, attracting wide attention and cooperation interest. People stopped to watch the exhibition panel and had indepth discussion with GTIIT participants.
