Duties and Responsibilities                                                                    

· Teach general education courses on "Chinese Culture and Student Personal Development", "Multi-perspective Thinking and Student Personal Development" and other relevant general education courses (6 courses per year);

· Design e-learning materials; and

· Assist in curriculum development and administrative assignments.

Required Job Specifications                                                                

· Required qualification: Ph.D. degree in History, Philosophy, China Studies, Cultural Studies or other majors related to modern Chinese history;

· Required experience: 4-year teaching experience in a similar setting

Required Job Competencies                                                                

· Language ability: proficiency in Chinese and/or English

· Interest and experience in teaching modern Chinese history or Chinese culture as general education subjects at tertiary level

Preference will be given to candidates with                                                                

· The ability to develop and teach courses in English;

· At least three-year overseas experience (study/work), preferably in an English-speaking country;

· A proven record of teaching excellence and experience in leading small group seminars.
