Research Scientist, Biotechnology and Food Engineering Program

hadar.sarig@gtiit.edu.cn

Overview

Dr. Sarig obtained her PhD on antimicrobial peptide-mimetics from the faculty of Biotechnology and Food engineering at the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology on 2012. She continued her post-doctoral training on cardiac tissue engineering at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Dr. Sarig was a Research Fellow in the NTU school of Materials Science and Engineering, before joining GTIIT, where she currently holds the position of a Research Scientist.

Dr. Sarig has over 10 years of biotechnology engineering experience, from microbial and antimicrobial therapeutic design, through disease animal model creation and up to stem cell biology and complex organ tissue engineering. Dr. Sarig has published extensively over the past ten years, yielding some 16 publications in international recognized peer reviewed journals and over 20 scientific conference proceedings, in addition to an approved PCT patent. Dr. Sarig received several awards in recognition of her achievements, including the Polack, Gutwirth, Rubinovich, and Jacobs scholarships for excellence in Research.
