Dr. Yerushalmi is an employee at GTIIT for teaching. He holds a BSc in Biology, MSc in Zoology and PhD in insect physiology, on locust swarming (all at the Hebrew university of Jerusalem). He spent 6 years of postdoc research (on insect metamorphosis) at the University of Arizona, US, and returned to Israel to continue his research and teaching at Haifa university. Currently, Dr. Yerushalmi is a senior lecturer at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, teaching, zoology (invertebrates), ecology and insect courses, and is a co-founder of a startup company that is farming insects as food for human consumption.
