Jack Sonn is a professor emeritus in the mathematics department at the Technion and an employee at GTIIT for teaching and research during autumn semester 2018.
Professor Sonn received his Ph.D. at Ohio State University, U.S.A. in 1970. He held visiting positions at Brown University, Yale University, Washington University in St. Louis (U.S.A.), and at Concordia University in Montreal, and at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver (Canada). Jack’s area of research is algebraic number theory. He has worked mainly on Galois theory and Brauer groups. Professor Sonn has been a faculty member at the Technion since 1972.
