钟子宜毕业自武汉大学和南京大学,分别获学士、硕士及博士学位。之后他在以色列巴伊兰大学(Bar-Ilan University、美国华盛顿大学(University of Washington at Seattle以及新加坡国立大学(National University of Singapore从事5年博士后研究。2002年,他获得加拿大政府(NSERC)访问学者奖学金并在蒙特利尔的国立生物技术研究所工作(BRI)。02/2003-09/2018期间,他在新加坡科技局 (A*star) 下的化学和工程科学研究院从事研究工作,同时在03/2013 -03/2017 期间在新加坡南洋理工大学任兼职副教授,及2013 - 2017期间在新加坡南洋理工大学南洋环境和水研究所(NEWRI) 兼职。他于2018年10月以正教授的身份加入了广东以色列理工学院(GTIIT)。

 

在加入GTIIT之前,他主持和参与了多个与多相催化、材料科学、废水处理、制药等相关的工业研究项目,其中一些工业项目得到了康宁(Corning Inc., 美国、霍尼韦尔(Honeywell, 美国、三菱化学(日本、MicroMil CarbonTech(新加坡)、葛兰素史克(GSK)等公司的资助。

 

他已经发表/合著国际期刊论文约260篇(被引约19000次,书6章,获专利10(其中美国专利3项,h指数71(谷歌学术。此外,他还撰写和贡献了约30份工业项目报告。

 

在GTIIT,他建立了一个绿色催化实验室,主要研究方向如下:

· 多相催化,特别是与环境催化有关的纳米催化剂的设计和合成。

· 废水处理。

· 表面化学。
