Position Description                                                                      

The candidate will assist the Operation Manager in daily management, mainly including issues related to school canteen management, sub-contractor supervision and other tasks.


Duties and Responsibilities                                                                    

The incumbent will assist the Operation Manager in the following issues, but not limited to

· Canteen related assignments:

  1) Daily supervision of campus canteen to ensure the catering operation is complying with the regulations and standards regarding food safety;

  2) Establish canteen operation records to meet the requirement from the Guangdong Higher Education Department;

  3) Conduct regular and random inspection to the kitchen to ensure food processing is under control;

  4) Work with catering company on improvement plan when necessary;

  5) Lead modification project in the canteen when necessary;

  6) Provide customized catering service as requested, such as coffee break, buffet and additional dinning demands from conference or events;

  7) Coordinate the activities or events in the canteen;

  8) Ensure the kitchen equipment are well maintained;

  9) Periodic audit on the canteen suppliers to ensure all the food are safe and qualified;

  10) Participate in the food receiving when necessary;

  11) To set up canteen committee and hold regular meeting with the committee to improve the customer satisfaction;

  12) Handle complaints.

· Assist with department reporting duties.

· Assist in controlling and supervising other sub-contractors.

· Other jobs assigned by operation manager when required.

· Overtime and work during weekends may be required occasionally.


Required Job Specifications                                                                 

· Required qualification: bachelor degree or above

· Required experience: experience in catering and hospitality is preferred


Required Job Competencies                                                                

· Communication skills: Fluent in English, both speaking and writing;

· Good Communication and coordination skills;

· Food or nutrition knowledge is a plus;

· Attention to details;

· Good PC skills;

· Business management experience is preferred.
