Job Post – Electron Microscopy Center Senior Lab Engineer

Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) is a state-of-the-art research university (http://www.gtiit.edu.cn/en) recently established in Shantou, China. The Electron Microscopy (EM) center under Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) program will be equipped with advanced SEM, FIB and TEM, and supports to researches performed by both academic groups and industries.  EM center is currently looking for 1 motivated and experienced full-time senior lab engineer to become member of the team the lab. Good salary and employment conditions will be provided to the selected candidate.

Job Requirements

- MSc or higher degrees in Materials Science/ Physics/Chemistry;

- Strong practical and theoretical background in Electron Microscopy (mandatory) and other characterization methods (advantage);

- More than 3 years’ experience in operating SEM(mandatory) and FIB (advantage);

- More than 3 years’ experience in varied EM sample preparation methods;

- Service oriented personality with good communication skills;

- Language:  good knowledge of spoken and written English (mandatory) and Chinese (advantage).

Job Functions

- Operate and maintains equipment;

- Demonstrate and supervise the SEM for students and researchers; provide SEM services and supports to research groups, multidisciplinary research programs and industry;

- Handle and dispose of chemicals and materials in accordance with safety protocols;

- Order, receive, install and adjust equipment and parts;

- Organize laboratory supplies.
