Job Description                             

The English Program is looking for a teaching assistant to assist the administrative work. This includes working directly with the coordinator, Tzipora Rakedzon, as well as the English teachers, English tutors, and English TAs. It also requires coordinating registration, classrooms, and tests, as well as contacting with students and the Undergraduate Department for relevant tasks in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities         

1. Close contact with UG

- attending the on-campus exams/exam support

- reviewing photocopies/book copies 

- all daily administrative issues

2. Extra help groups:

- registration of weak students for extra help

- emailing, grouping, wechat groups, rooms for these groups 

3. Paperwork and recruitment of TAs and tutors

- setting up interview times

- coordinating contracts 

- reporting monthly work hours/timetables 

4. Setting up classrooms

- classrooms for extra help 

- for courses - online or on campus

- for exams

- liaison tech issues for teachers 

Required Job Specifications                                                                

- Required qualification / academic degree: bachelor degree

- Required experience: administrative work experience

Required Job Competencies                                                                

- Language ability: English and Chinese

- Basic computer and technical skills

- Communication skills
