Job Post – Electrical Engineer

Position Title: Electrical Engineer

Position Description                                                                        

The incumbent is mainly responsible  for electrical design and engineering for project , as well as ensuring electrical safety through campus electrical system inspection and management.

Duties and Responsibilities                                                                      

Electrical design and engineering for project （50%）

Report to Director of Campus Construction Department, serve as the working interface between the Campus Renovation Project Team and the Campus Operations Electrical Engineer, providing the selected design institute with the required electrical design input for new renovation project electrical tie-ins (or connections). May also execute electrical projects as a Project Manager.

·Design and engineering experiences need (30% )

1.Perform conceptual design and engineering for electrical power supply for campus renovation project

2.Review and approve preliminary design and/or detail design of campus renovation project

·Project management experience need (20%)

1.Acting like a project manager to manage assigned electrical type of campus renovation project

2.Telecom system and/or instrument and automation experiences are plus

Electrical safety work from campus electrical system inspection and management（50%）

Report to EHS Leader

·Renovation project electrical installation and construction (20% )

1.Visit renovation construction site to inspect the electrical installation quality and surveillance for renovation project

2.Review and approve renovation construction contractor - temporary power supply from campus.

3.Perform site visit and field electrical installation inspection for renovation project construction contractor

·EHS department - safety related work (30% )

1.Assist in establishing the electrical-related management content of the experimental hazard analysis (EHA) system for the campus laboratory.

2.Conduct campus electrical safety analysis and, based on the results to develop electrical safety training courses and assist in the implementation of electrical safety training.

3.Assist in improving the electrical safety instructions of the laboratory and provide related safety consultations.

Coordinate with all relevant departments on campus to ensure the effective implementation of national electrical safety policies and regulations as well as the school's safety requirements.

Required Job Competencies                                                                  

Education:

Bachelor's degree or above in electrical discipline

Certified National Safety Engineer (if applicable, priority will be given)

Having an Electrician Special Operations Certificate or relevant professional qualification (if applicable, priority will be given)

Work Experience:

Plus 5 years work experience in a design and engineering institute or an engineering company

Have experience in identifying electrical risks and compiling emergency plans

Have participated in the establishment of electrical safety systems or the rectification of electrical hazards projects

Language Ability:

Able to communicate in English

Others:

Can use Microsoft Office and AutoCAD for drafting

Working conscientiously and with strong team spirit
