Mariana Inés Prieto is an Assistant Professor at the National University of the South (Argentina). She obtained her PhD in Mathematics in 2013 at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina). She has been a visiting researcher at the Institute of Applied and Computational Mathematics of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (IACM-FORTH), Heraklion, Greece, in 2017.

Her area of research is Numerical Analysis. She also is interested in Optimal Control.

She joined GTIIT as a visiting assistant professor (MCS program) in February 2024.
