Herman Schinca is an Argentine computer scientist. He completed his Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) where he is also finishing his PhD.

He began his career in University Teaching in 2008 as a Teaching Assistant in the Master's Degree in Computer Science at UBA. After some years he became a Professor at the UBA and the Torcuato Di Tella University. He has also taught in company courses, mainly on software architecture and software design.

His main research interest is Computer Science Didactics. Particularly, he is focusing on people's misconceptions about Computer Science topics other than programming, e.g., computer architecture, networking, digital citizenship, etc.

Herman has also worked for the private sector since 2012, when he joined Dr. Manuel Sadosky Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to improve the nexus between the scientific system, the private sector and the education system.

In 2024, he joined GTIIT MCS program as a Visiting Adjunct Teacher.
