Established in 2018, Chess Nuts is GT’s board game and chess club dedicated to bringing joy to busy students through fun and engaging strategy games. We teach various chess disciplines and host tabletop gaming sessions to help everyone unwind, socialize, and make friends. Beyond casual play, we organize members to compete in off-campus tournaments. At the National College Chess League (Eastern Guangdong Division), our team clinched impressive rankings in both individual and group events across multiple chess categories.
On campus, we regularly hold themed tournaments, board game nights, and even beginner-friendly chess workshops—stay tuned for more!
