The picturesque north and south campuses, roommates and classmates whom you work together with, tireless professors of various subjects, hard-working campus builders, and interesting campus activities. Everyone and everything here have become the best memory in GTers’ minds. We can't let the time stop, but we can use the camera or phone to record these beautiful moments and retain the bits and pieces of campus life.

Event Description

With the theme of “Hello GTIIT”, this contest held by GTIIT News and Public Affairs collects photo entries from all GTers. Submissions should contain a topic around GTIIT and are suggested to include any of the following parts:

(1) Display the natural and architectural scenery of GTIIT.

(2) Show the demeanor of classmates, teachers, campus workers and other on-campus characters.

(3) Show colorful campus life (in class or after-class).

(4) Art photography around the campus or including the theme of GTIIT.

(5) Other types of photo creations on the subject of GTIIT.

After the submission deadline, the judging panel will group the submissions based on the themes, and invite professionals and GTIIT representatives to evaluate them.

Awards Setting

The submissions will be grouped according to their theme. The winning works will be displayed in the GTIIT photo exhibition in addition to the certificates and bonuses. The specific prizes for each group are as follows:

First prize (each group will have one):  600 yuan

Second prize (each group will have two): 400 yuan

Third prize (each group will have three): 200 yuan

Internet Popularity Award (each group will have one): 150 yuan

The participation prize: a canteen voucher of 40 yuan

During the collection period, NPA will also invite professionals in fields of photography and videography to carry out various related lectures to help GTers enrich the topics and improve the relevant technical level.

Requirements

? Each submitted work can be in the form of a single photo or a series of photos. Each participant should  submit no more than 3 works.

? Submissions should include a title and a brief introduction in both Chinese and English.

? The work must be original. Participants are not allowed to submit other people's works.

? Participants can only make simple adjustments for their works such as contrast, brightness, saturation, cropping, etc. and are not allowed to do technical processing such as compositing and post-deletion of picture content.

? Due to the need for anonymous selection and public voting, no personal watermarks can be added to the images.

? The shooting style and the shooting equipment of the works are not limited.

? The image format is required to be jpg, the resolution should be not less than 300ppi, and the size of the work should be more than 5M.

Scoring Criteria

Topic Fit (30 points):

The theme of the photo is clear and closely related to the elements of GTIIT, science and technology, and the content is positive.

Technical Level (30 points):

The color of the photo is full, the layers are clear and has strong attraction; the photo is in clear focus, correct exposure, and the details are clear; the overall composition is harmonious, the subject is prominent, and is visually beautiful.

Creativity and Expression (20 points):

The photo is novel in topic, innovative in conception, and eye-catching.

Public Vote (20 points):

The photo that meets the requirements will be collected and voted on the public WeChat account. The photo with the highest number of votes in each group will be awarded full points in this section.

Additional Points:

If the photo is posted on the contestant's personal social platform, extra points can be obtained according to the number of views and likes.

Notice：

The university official will have the right to use the photos collected in this activity.
