March 14, 2026, marked a vibrant celebration of Holi, the Indian festival of colors, at the Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT), China. Organized by the GTIIT Indian Community, the event was held in the open area near A102 on South Campus from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and was open to the entire university community.



The celebration saw a wonderful turnout, reflecting the multicultural spirit of the institute. Faculty, staff, and their families from over a dozen countries participated, including colleagues from Argentina, China, Israel, India, Russia, South Africa, and Spain, among others. The presence of children added to the joyous atmosphere.

Attendees played with organic natural colors, ensuring a safe and environmentally friendly experience. Children particularly enjoyed the festivities, using organic water colors and water guns. The air was filled with lively music, and participants danced to traditional and contemporary Holi songs. A variety of traditional Indian sweets, snacks, and refreshing drinks were served, allowing everyone to savor the culinary traditions associated with the festival.








The celebration concluded with a group photograph, capturing the spirit of unity and shared joy. The event served as a wonderful opportunity for the GTIIT community to come together, celebrate diversity, and strengthen bonds of friendship across cultures.

The GTIIT Indian Community extends its sincere gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, university leadership, and management for their continued support and encouragement in fostering a vibrant and inclusive campus culture.
