In 2026, GTIIT will admit 700 students nationally, with 390 spots allocated to Guangdong—an increase from last year, and will introduce a new flagship Environmental Engineering program. The program's curriculum is closely aligned with ESG sustainability, carbon neutrality, smart agriculture, and digital environmental protection, responding to national carbon-peaking goals and industrial upgrading. It is backed by the Technion's world-class environmental disciplines, globally renowned for achievements in drip irrigation, seawater desalination, and the circular economy. The new program immediately drew significant media attention upon its announcement.
