Happy Teachers' Day

PostTime:9/10/2021

If there were no teachers,

all other professions would not exist.

Today is the 37th Teachers’ Day

On this special day

GTIIT students from different grades

Gave their best wishes

for all their great teachers

Best wishes on this special day

@Liu Yuhan

Our beloved teachers, you are the spring shower that moistens our heart. The love and care that you given to us willencouraged us to go through a long and arduous journey. It is the mostappropriate time to express our thanks. Happy Teachers' Day!

@Su Zegeng

Happy Teachers' Day! Thank you for always encouraging us to ask questions boldly and giving us suggestions. This makes us dare to think and ask questions. When facing vague knowledge points, it is not to entangle oneself secretly, but to exchange and discuss, and this is the secret of study.

@Yao Yibin

On this special day, all the wishes turn into one sentence: Happy Teachers’ Day!

@Celin

I want to thank all the teachers in GTIIT, they are wonderful, always willing to teach you or challenge you for a better future. They are more than teachers; they are friends that care about you. Thank you for inspiring us to be better.

A little gift for you on this big day

Zhan Tianrui, a student from mathematics with computer science program, used Python to make a greeting card. With the click of the mouse, a rose gradually appeared on the paper.

Meet you in the most beautiful time

@Sun Kaijie

The picture below is when Dr. Roman used his own hand to explain the law of the right hand.

His lectures are very interesting and he is willing to answer questions for us. In addition, Dr. Roman’s muscles look great and I like Roman very much. I hope that he can continue to teach me in the formal semester.

@Yang Mu

Prof. Slav, Happy Teachers' Day!

It is a short but memorable semester for me. When I asked you questions, I can really feel your enthusiasm about teaching. I still remember the midnight office hour from 23:30 to 00:30. You had some personal things to do that day. But what I didn’t expect is that even if it had been so late at night when you finished them, you still came to the student dormitory to answer our questions. The course made me interested in mechanical engineering, and another talk with you helped me to understand it deeper.

Thank you for all you had done for us. Hope you enjoy being a teacher and wish you all the best!

@Zou Yunfan

 Prof. Yigal is a fan of spicy taste. Most peppers are red, and red in Chinese culture represents vitality and good luck. Wish you spicy red all year!

@Zhan Tianrui

Dr. Karen is my first foreign teacher. She is our English teacher in preparatory course. In our last English class, she wanted to take a photo with the whole class. But because of the pandemic, she couldn’t come to China, so we decided to take photo on Zoom. (You can see I was taking photo using my phone) I want to thank her for all the kindness, knowledge and care she gave to the whole class.

Prof. Paulo is one of the most humorous teachers I’ve met. He made lively jokes about math theorems, and names of mathematical objects. He also made jokes about sleepy students in class. His class is never boring and full of joy! So we made a lot of emojis from his photos. Sadly, he is back to Argentina. Wish him all the best!

Another professor which impressed me a lot is Prof. Jacob. He is very kind, humorous and very smart. He is the founder of math colloquiums at GTIIT. Wish his family happy and health every day and wish his son and daughter have a bright future!

I also want to thank Prof. Ma Yanchan. He is one of the lecturers of our MOE course. He taught us the history and policies of China from Xia Dynasty to Modern China. Wish more students will come to his classes.

Then comes to Prof. Israel with his 'Chinese Army’. I am really very sorry that the time of the ending parade of our military training was advanced and I didn’t manage to tell him. He is our computer course teacher and our good friend. He is very patient and he taught us a lot. He is not going to teach us the next semester which is really a huge pity. Wish Prof. Israel all the best in the new semester!

Among all the professors teaching math that I’ve met, Prof.Maria left me a deep impression. She has three beautiful daughters and one of the is also studying math in college like us. I want to say thank you to her and wish her family happy and healthy.

Last but not least, I want to thank Miss Liao Wenlan, our instructor in GTIIT chorus and all teachers in our chorus. Thanks to their time and effort, we made a perfect performance in the graduation ceremony. Wish GTIIT chorus shines again and remains forever.

@Li Yilin

Prof. Moris is very humorous and his class style is very interesting. Prof. Moris likes to joke with me. In a tutorial class, I went to the pantry to pour water before the class. He hid my laptop, and then announced to the class when I went back to the classroom: "Elaine's computer is lost! Everyone! Hurry up and help her find it, she said there are many rewards!" It made me dumbfounded.

Once my mother went to see my performance about dance. After the performance, I introduced my mom to him. Two years later, Prof. Moris returned to Shantou from Israel. As a student assistant of the Human Resources Department, I went to the airport to pick him up. He also greeted my mother, which was very warm. Although I have graduated now, he still remains deeply in my memory. I wish him a happy Teachers’ Day and all the best in the future.

@Chen Yuanwei

In the calculus class last semester, Prof. Ezequiel replaced the x in the formula with a cute smiley face to make the mathematical formula came alive. He often incorporates some small ideas into the classroom, which makes us sigh that mathematics can be so fun~

@Liu Jiahao

This is Dr. Ricky's picture when he explained the structure of the article to us.

His explanation is very simple and easy to understand. He is humorous in class and let us learn knowledge in happiness. At the same time, he also pays attention to the speed of speaking and uses a small part of Chinese to make it easier for us to understand. I used to take online classes at home. When I came to Shantou for nucleic acid test, I delayed my English class and asked him for leave. He still approved my application happily and told me that he was very happy to see me the day after that day. I am very grateful to Ricky, he gave me a lot of useful knowledge and I like Ricky so much.

@Tan Xingyang

I met Dr. Ricky this preparatory period. Before each lesson, he asked us an interesting question and communicated with each other in English to improve our oral language skills. After the class break, he always gave a few riddles to let us guess and instantly pull our attention back to the class. Dr. Ricky is also good at Chinese, especially "加油" and "谢谢". When we feel that is difficult, he always says in Chinese, "Come on". Happy Teachers' Day, Dr. Ricky!

@Mi Tianhuan

Prof. Achal is very friendly to students, always smiling to the students. He also organizes the students in his group to have food together and asks everyone's study, life and future development plans. I wish him a happy Teachers' Day, be health, and be good.

@Yu Yiran

It’s a hot afternoon, I encountered familiar person on the bus. I didn't want to use bad spoken language to chat, but felt that the air was quiet. I didn’t remember me and Dr. Efrat who spoke first. We talked a lot that day, and I found that teachers who are academically accomplished can be so grounded. In another occasional chat, she told me that she wanted to learn calligraphy, and it happened that I knew how to do it. We had a new topic of communication. She learned very quickly, much faster than I learned. She mastered the brush very well, which really surprised me. It has been half a year since I met her, and I really missed her. I hope I can take her class at the beginning of the following semester and I really want to continue to exchange calligraphy with her in the new semester!

Due to limited space, many wishes cannot be conveyed one by one.
