Since the beginning of the new semester, many senior students have been busy preparing the application for further study in overseas universities. According to Dr. Chen Fen from GTIIT Career Development Center, student from the Class of 2022 has received the offer from world-renowned university. She said that early planning, preparation and application contributed to students' early admission to target universities to a great extent.

In the face of increasingly fierce competition for admission and employment, planning and preparation as early as possible is crucial. In order to help students plan their academic career, GTIIT offers a series of courses, lectures and activities to provide students with postgraduate universities admission guidance, career exploration, employment guidance, career planning and other services, so as to improve students' core competitiveness and help students achieve their life goals.

This year, the first cohort student had great performance in being admitted to world-renowned universities, and the quality of talent cultivation has been recognized by many universities in the world, which deeply encouraged the junior students.

GTIIT Career Development Center

GTIIT Career Development Center will continuously provide students with free postgraduate application counseling service. The specific services are as follows:

01. One on one consultation

• Service hours: 8:30-12:00; 14:00-17:30

• Appointment making: Please click https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/CareerCenter@gtiit.edu.cn/bookings/ to log in and select the time you would like to make an appointment in the options;

• Service content:

  Background improvement services: professional planning and personalized background improvement programs;

  School selection service: schools and projects selection advice and adjustment suggestions, programs selection;

  Clerical services: CV comments and revising suggestions, PS editing and framework advice, in-depth guidance of PS writing (including revision of final version), additional documents discussion and guidance, selection advice of referees and information sorting, discussion on the content of recommendation letters;

  Letter of interest/intent and interview: Q&A for letters of interest/intent and drills of interview;

  Offer selection suggestions

02. Documents Review

The Career Center will provide a one-time final polishing of PS and CV for each senior student. Students can email the relevant documents in the following format to: career@gtiit.edu.cn. We will complete the revision and give feedback within two weeks after receiving the email.

The format is as follows:

Subject: Request for Application Documents Review

The email content should include: name, ID number, major and Ｗechat number

Attachment 1: List of target schools. It can help us understand your application objectives.

Attachment 2: CV. Make sure your CV is no more than two pages.

Attachment 3: Personal Statement or motivation letter. Please provide your target school's requirements for this document at the beginning of the PS.

03. Series of alumni experience sharing

To help students prepare for the postgraduate application, the Career Center invites outstanding alumni to share their experiences of applying and studying abroad online. The specific activity date will be announced later. Please pay attention to it.
