To study the spirit of the Report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) has held a series of activities. On November 8, a lecture was delivered by Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Secretary of General Party Branch Committee of GTIIT. He hoped that the students could shoulder the historical mission of the young people in the new era, implement the spirit of the Congress into their study and life, and aspire to build our country.

The 20th National Congress of the CPC is a meeting of great importance. It takes place at a critical time as the entire Party and the Chinese people of all ethnic groups embark on a new journey to build China into a modern socialist country in all respects and advance toward the Second Centenary Goal. The Congress is a major event in the political life of the Party and the country, as well as in people's study and life.

Youth is the most active and vital force in society. The students listened carefully to the interpretation of the theme of the Congress and the contents of the report, studied the important discussion on human resources, education, scientific and technological, and their roles as the foundational and strategic pillar for building a modern socialist country in all respects.

Rooted in the profound Chinese culture, GTIIT provides students with innovative and international environment as well as world-class research resources. It shoulders great responsibility in speeding up efforts to achieve sci-tech self-reliance and self-strengthening at higher levels, and building world hubs for talent and innovation. Students expressed their willingness to aim high but stay grounded, striving to be the new era's great young generation with ideals, a sense of responsibility, grit, and dedication.

"The young generation will face unprecedented opportunities and challenges under the new era and new journey." Prof. Lin Danming said that students' growth is closely related to the country's development, and there was much that could be done to promote cultural self-confidence and green development. He hoped GTIIT students could take advantages of their professional skills as STEM students, make use of the unique resources for innovation and entrepreneurship of GTIIT, change their ways of thinking, benefit the development of the country with their knowledge and talents, and make contributions to the national rejuvenation.
