The "Burning Youth - Embrace the World", an information session on overseas graduate programs, was recently hosted in the auditorium of Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT).

The event was jointly organized by GTIIT and the American Universities' China Association (AUCA). Admissions officers from numerous renowned overseas universities, including Duke Kunshan University, Northeastern University, Ohio State University, University of Rochester, Bocconi University, New Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, Georgia Institute of Technology (China Campus), and the University of Virginia, gathered at the campus of GTIIT to help students who are interested in studying abroad.

Admissions officers introduced their institutions to the students in the panel session. They provided the most up-to-date information about study abroad policies, time management, school selection, and employment prospects. They said that students from GTIIT had performed superbly and that some have already had academic papers published in prestigious international journals and have shown solid academic potential.

Students actively discussed the admissions policy, admissions status, application review procedures, scholarship policy, curriculum, and other topics with admissions officers during the fair's second session.

As far, GTIIT has two cohorts of graduates who received "olive branches" from 136 institutions around the world, including Stanford University, ETH Zurich, Imperial College, University College London, National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, University of Pennsylvania, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Cornell University, and many more. An average of 50% of the two graduates who went overseas pursued master's/doctoral degrees at the top 30 universities worldwide, and 95% went to the global top 100 universities. Eight graduates were offered direct doctoral degrees, and nearly 60% opted for research programs.

Career and Learning Center (CLC) offers professional learning skill improvement, planning on further study, and career consultation. Its specific responsibilities include:

• creating a four-year development roadmap for students based on their comprehensive ability standards, providing year-by-year growth goals and activity suggestions, and designing courses and activities in accordance;

• providing a "Smart Learning" course at the beginning of the first year to help students master efficient learning skills, which can facilitate their adaption to college study;

• providing one-on-one peer guidance and peer study groups to help GTIIT students from all grades explore their learning potential and upgrade their learning abilities, and thus they can gain the competencies and build confidence to pursue their learning goals;

• delivering the "Design Your Career" course in the second and third years, which concentrates on developing students' capacity for career planning and execution, enabling them to fully utilize the school's curriculum and wealth of resources to develop their professional skills;

• assisting in the admission of renowned universities, building a professional guide service system for college entrance, conducting numerous lectures for college entrance, inviting countless American and European universities to conduct online enrollment lectures, and offering students professional and accurate school selection consultation and application document revising services.
  

CLC actively coordinates with the need of GTIIT to build cooperation platforms with enterprises by conducting several career guidance seminars and providing services such as interview training, job application resume revision, and cover letter revision. Based on the clear employment plan of each student, it provides precise and regular services and strives to promote students to achieve optimal personal development.
