GTIIT has officially being the "Dayuan Dasuo" Party Building Alliance Unit of Suzhou

Recently, Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) has officially being the "Dayuan Dasuo" Party Building Alliance Unit of Suzhou. The two parties will take this opportunity to explore new models of industrial technology cooperation and promote common development.

Recently, Zhang Tingxiu, a member of the leading Party members’ group and Deputy Director of Suzhou Science and Technology Bureau led a team to visit Guangdong Technion- Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT). Prof. Moris S. Eisen, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of GTIIT, Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs of GTIIT, Dr. Queena Yi, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Development of GTIIT, GTEC Director Michael Lv, and other leaders and professors held a discussion with the guests. They discussed joint scientific research, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, Party building and so on.


Prof. Moris S. Eisen introduced the scientific research vision and direction of GTIIT and its headquarter, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. He also encourages GTIIT and Suzhou to explore the possibility of cooperation in the fields of basic and applied research. GTIIT aims at cultivating outstanding engineers and scientific talents with innovative abilities, global vision and humanistic literacy, and building itself into a high-level, international science and engineering research university. Currently, GTIIT has nearly 150 high-level teaching staff, 16 of whom are selected into the top 2% scientists in the world. In the industry-university-research field, GTIIT has continued to achieve great results this year. It has signed technical cooperation agreements with Fortune 500 companies and Environmental international companies for the first time and made significant progress in major projects such as the "GTIIT X China Israel Changzhou Innovation Park".

Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT, introduced the overall development of the university to the guests. He pointed out that GTIIT had carried out preliminary industry-university-research work in Suzhou, and many students from Suzhou performed well. He hoped GTIIT would further deepen the cooperation with relevant government departments and business community in Suzhou and comprehensively promote strategic cooperation of both sides to achieve fruitful results.

"GTIIT is a model for Sino-foreign cooperative education and international scientific and technological cooperation. We look forward to more advanced technologies coming to Suzhou to explore new models of industrial cooperation together." Ms. Zhang Tingxiu hoped to deepen the cooperation between GTIIT and Suzhou to achieve joint development. It’s promising to combine the high-quality scientific research of GTIIT with Suzhou’s location, industrial, and policy advantages, to promote in-depth cooperation of capital, technology, and talents, and build a high-level platform for innovation and entrepreneurship.

During the meeting, Qi Yuanshen, Associate Professor from Department of Material Science and Engineering of GTIIT and Liu Mingyi, Associate Professor from Department of Mechanical Engineering of GTIIT, introduced the progress and results of their research to the guests.

The guests further visited the South and North campuses, Food Innovation Lab, Flow Imaging & Diagnostic Lab, and Synthetic Biology & Intelligent Control Lab. They expressed high appreciation for the development of GTIIT.
