As a training base for scientific talents, Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) has long been committed to gathering scientific research resources, seeking multi-party cooperation, and steadily moving forward on the journey of booming innovation. Recently, to further promote academic cooperation and enhance mutual learning, GTIIT and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong (HKUST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which uncloses the prelude of cooperation between the two sides.

According to the MOU, the two sides will develop academic and educational cooperation on the basis of equality and reciprocity, and will deepen academic exchanges and jointly promote talent cultivation to enhance relations. The MOU also sets forth provisions on intellectual property and confidentiality.

This cooperation will inject new vitality into the high-quality development of GTIIT and HKUST. Both universities will take it as a starting point and give full play to their respective advantages to open a new chapter of education exchanges.

GTIIT has upheld the spirit of openness and interconnection, and maintained close interaction with multiple universities for long. In 2020, GTIIT signed a MOU on academic cooperation and exchanges with Technical University of Munich (TUM), the world's top university. The two sides agreed to achieve a win-win situation in teaching and research and deepen international cooperation through further exchanges of staff and students and joint research activities. In various international university rankings, TUM has been ranked top 1 in Germany for many years. And it has produced 18 Nobel Prize winners so far.

In addition, GTIIT also carries out a joint postgraduate training program with Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). Students of Class 2023 will be cultivated in SUSTech for their first semester, and the subsequent courses will be delivered at GTIIT. The double-tutor and diversified teaching mode is adopted to bring more learning resources for students, and broaden the depth and breadth of GTIIT postgraduate training system.
