On May 15th, the “Lense Scapes” exhibition was launched on the hall of Education Building, North Campus of Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT). Mr. Aviv Zell, Deputy Consul General of Israel in Guangzhou; Prof. Moris S. Eisen, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT; Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT; Mr. Yigal Cohen, Pro-Vice Chancellor & Director General of GTIIT; Dr. Queena Yi, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT and some faculty and staff of GTIIT were invited to the opening session of the exhibition.

This exhibition focused on the theme of microcosm. From the perspective of electron microscopy, every cell and every drop of solution seems to be full of vitality, which is mysterious and fascinating. With the unique visual effect, 33 works by scholars from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology will lead you to scientific research adventures in multiple disciplines.

“It’s my honor to participate in this opening ceremony. I have come to GTIIT many times. Everything here has deeply attracted me.” Mr. Aviv Zell said that Israel is known as the “innovation country”, with splendid scientific achievements covering a wide range of fields. And Technion is one of its representatives. The exhibition is an interesting exploration of the microscopic world by scientists. Combining technology and aesthetics, the works will bring enlightenment to the audience about the future.

Mr. Yigal Cohen extended his sincere welcome to Mr. Aviv Zell’s visit. He said that this exhibition represented the joint efforts of Technion and GTIIT. "The photos taken by scholars from Technion chemical engineering as well as biotechnology and food engineering under electron microscopes provide us with a new perspective of the world and open a door to the microscopic world."
