On May 24th to 26th, the 9th Nan'ao Science Conference - International Forum on Chiral Science and Technology was successfully held in Nan'ao Island, Shantou.
The international forum was co-planned by Associate Professor Xie Zuoti from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at GTIIT. Professor Ron Naaman, academician of the European Academy of Sciences, from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, and Professor Yonatan Dubi from Ben Gurion University in Israel were invited to attend the forum and conduct in-depth discussions. In addition, 46 experts and scholars from domestic and foreign universities and research institutes, including CAS Member, Professor Gaosong from Sun Yat-sen University; CAS Member, Professor Fang Weihai from Beijing Normal University; CAS Member, Professor Ma Yuguang from South China University of Technology; CAS Member, Professor Zhu Weihong from East China University of Technology; and CAS Member, Xie Suyuan from Xiamen University, participated in this forum.
The executive chairman of the forum was jointly served by the CAS Member, Professor Gao Song, President of Sun Yat-sen University, and Professor Guo Xuefeng from Peking University. Jiang Yong, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Basic and Applied Basic Research Fund Committee, and Xu Honghua, Deputy Mayor of Shantou City, and other relevant leaders attended the forum.
The forum has set up a total of 20 keynote speeches, mainly focusing on in-depth exchanges and discussions on three sub themes: "Chiral/Spin Chemistry and Synthesis", "Chiral/Spin Physical Properties and Mechanisms", and "Single molecule Science and Quantum Regulation". The attending scholars focused on exploring the current development trends of chiral spin science and technology, with a focus on sorting out the new discoveries, materials, ideas, and applications brought by chiral spin in the interdisciplinary fields of chiral chemical synthesis, chiral substance detection, single-molecule science, and quantum control. At the same time, they looked forward to how chiral spin can further reveal new scientific laws and achieve the future of technological applications.

This forum aims to gather experts and scholars to share their research experience in professional fields, exchange the latest research ideas, present their research findings, thus colliding to create innovative sparks. The forum helps to promote further development of chiral science and technology applications, and also promote the field of chiral substance research to a new level.
