Yesterday, Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) Open Day was held on campus with great success. Students and their parents from different provinces gathered in the vibrant, inclusive and beautiful GTIIT campus. Additionally, more than 680,000 individuals participated in the Open Day virtually through livestreaming.

GTIIT Chorus kicked off the Open Day with captivating performance, demonstrating the vitality and warmth of GTIIT students. The performers also extended best wishes to all visitors.

Prof. David Gershoni, Vice Chancellor of GTIIT, delivered an inspiring opening address. He introduced that as the China campus of Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, GTIIT has fully brought in the education resources of the Technion and followed the same academic standards. Up to now, there have been three cohorts of students graduating from GTIIT and 80% of them were admitted to the top universities for further study, which demonstrates that its talent cultivation has been widely recognized.

Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT gave a thought-provoking lecture titled "Study STEM in an Unlimited Way", highlighting the unique talent training mode of GTIIT. With particular emphasis on discipline foundation, problem-driven teaching, research, and innovation, GTIIT helps students discover the "seed of innovation" and keep pushing their limits.

More than 80% of the graduates from the three cohorts of GTIIT have decided to continue their studies in overseas universities, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT), Stanford University, Cornell University, Imperial College London, ETH, National University of Singapore, and Hong Kong University. GTIIT students have also been admitted to Nanjing University, Sichuan University, Jilin University, South China University of Technology, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and other outstanding universities in China. After graduation, the students entered Huawei, BYD, BGI and other high-tech enterprises, receiving recognition from employers with a solid knowledge base and persistently dedicating to the development of national high-tech industry. 

GTIIT Students from the class of 2024 have attracted the attention of worldwide top universities. Up to now, 120 students have received 349 offers from 89 universities, most of which are world top 100 universities. Admission letters from the top 10 universities in the world account for 23%. MIT and Yale University welcomed their first GTIIT students this year.

Representatives of GTIIT alumni, GTIIT graduates, and GTIIT students shared their experience and harvest in this university. "GTIIT made me who I am today!" Their sincere and confident sharing won thunderous applause from the audience.
