Recently, a government-university-enterprise cooperation meeting was held at the North Campus of Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT). Lawrence Liao, Director of the Student Affairs Department of GTIIT, Michael Lv, Director of GTEC, and leaders from Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Dongguan (Humen) and more than 20 Dongguan enterprise representatives attended the meeting.
Lawrence Liao delivered a welcome speech and introduced GTIIT to the attendees in terms of the programs, faculty team, lab equipments and the career prospects of graduates. "Our students receive hard-core professional knowledge and technologies at GTIIT, which not only enhances their academic growth and career planning, but more importantly, contributes to national construction. In addition to cultivating talents and developing scientific research, universities play a crucial role in driving social progress. I hope this exchange would spark collaboration between GTIIT and enterprises, paving the way for common development."
Michael Lv briefly introduced the strength of GTIIT's scientific and technological innovation, as well as the industry-university-research cooperation and interaction it has established with Dongguan City. "The programs of GTIIT are well aligned with the industrial development of Dongguan City. GTIIT aims to create high-quality education and technological innovation relying on high-level teachers and high-configuration laboratories. We welcome the R&D and technical teams of enterprises to visit our labs and fully communicate with our professors and researchers. We look forward to further partnerships between the university and enterprises."

Yan Zhibin, Director of Humen Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, introduced Dongguan City and Humen Town to the participants. He appreciated the talent cultivation system of GTIIT, which emphasises on building a strong foundation and fostering innovation. He expressed his commitment to furthering the cooperation between the government, universities and enterprises, and welcome more GTIIT students to work and live in Dongguan.
In the Q&A session, enterprise representatives from precision electronics, automation equipment, information transmission and other fields inquired about the sub-fields covered under the programs of materials and machinery at GTIIT. They expressed interest in cooperating with the labs on relevant projects, and further exchanging with GTIIT's researchers at the technical level.

At present, GTIIT has cooperated with more than 20 enterprises to establish student internship bases, and the enterprises are involved in diverse fields such as chemical industry, food, medicine and health, materials, environmental protection and testing. GTIIT and the enterprises have carried out in-depth exchanges in the joint cultivation of talents and other related aspects.
