The lecture emphasized the significance of safety in a technology and engineering university, teaching students how to identify and prevent risks, as well as self-rescue and evacuation skills in emergencies. Particular attention was given to the locations of emergency assembly points and Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) within the campus to ensure swift response during emergencies. Additionally, tailored to our university's technological focus, the lecture covered laboratory safety, including mandatory safety training and specialized training, and introduced the advanced laboratory facilities of GTIIT.
