Championship in a competition

Recently, the Demonstration Training Program for Student League Branch Secretaries of Guangdong universities was held at Guangdong Youth League School (Guangdong Youth Political College). Student League Branch Secretaries from 161 universities across the province gathered together to learn and exchange ideas. Ye Congming, the League Branch Secretary of the 9th Branch of the 2024 cohort in the Chemical Engineering program at GTIIT, attended the training and led his team to the champion title in the "League Branch Secretary Skills Competition".

At the competition, Ye Congming and his team members worked closely to present a micro-lesson, vividly recreating significant historical moments such as the Paris Peace Conference, the 26th United Nations General Assembly, and the breakthrough in Sino-American relations, outlining the path of great power diplomacy under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

The confidence of the students was unanimously praised by the teachers and students present. As the team leader, Ye Congming said this activity allowed him to deeply understand the essential role the Communist Youth League played during different historical periods. He will continue to strengthen his ideals and convictions, enhance his knowledge and skills, and forge ahead courageously.

This event showcased the solid theoretical foundation and professional capabilities of GTIIT's League Branch Secretaries. GTIIT Youth League Committee will continue to optimize the training system for young political cadres and strengthen their faith foundation.

Achievements in a sports meeting

In the recently concluded 38th Track and Field Sports Meeting of Shantou University, GTIIT athletes engaged in a competition of "speed and passion", ultimately claiming the championships in the men's pentathlon and men's shot put, while also achieving impressive results in discus, sprint, and relay races.

"Bang——" The starting pistol sounded, and GTIIT athletes shot forward like arrows released from a bow. The javelin throwers bent and straightened their elbows, gracefully throwing a perfect arc through the air. The long jumpers leapt through the air, making every effort to reach further. Under the scorching sun, they enjoyed sports to its fullest.

Compared to last year, GTIIT students achieved more breakthroughs in both the number and variety of awards this year. Jiang Yuhui, a GTIIT student who has won the men's pentathlon championship for two consecutive years, expressed his excitement and stated that, whether in academic research or physical training, perseverance is always essential. He looks forward to competing again next year and bringing more honors to GTIIT.
