On December 15th, GTIIT successfully held the campus open day on December 15th. Various activities including info session, mini lecture, Math Odyssey, AI workshop, lab visit and campus tour were provided, attracting over 800 students and parents from across the country, filling the campus with vibrant enthusiasm for science and innovation. Notably, it's the first time the main venue for open day was set on the South Campus.

Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT, gave a thought-provoking lecture titled "Study STEM in an Unlimited Way", highlighting the unique talent training mode of GTIIT. He introduced that with particular emphasis on discipline foundation, problem-driven teaching, research, and innovation, GTIIT helps students discover the "seed of innovation" and keep pushing their limits, opening more possibilities for their future.

"Why do we feel that AI is intelligent?" "What is the logic behind the AI models such as ChatGPT?" These questions were the focus of the "Mini AI Workshop", which was newly introduced this time and attracted many students to sign up. Under the guidance of teachers from GTIIT Mathematics with Computer Science Program, participants carried on in-depth conversations with AI, trying to uncover the secrets behind it.

How to apply AI in robot development? What kind of "chemical reaction" occurs when we use AI to conduct research in chemical engineering field? Assoc. Prof. Liu Mingyi from GTIIT ME Program and Assoc. Prof. Gao Xi from GTIIT CE Program shared their insights at the lecture.

Mini Lectures

The third "Math Odyssey" once again attracted a large number of high school "fans" to attend. Students from various key high schools across the country, worked together to compete with other teams.
