On the occasion of the new year, Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) celebrates a historic milestone – the official opening of the Administration Building on South Campus. This event signifies a significant breakthrough in the campus development of GTIIT and represents a starting point for the university to advance to new heights in education and research.

On December 30th, the Inauguration Ceremony for the Administration Building on South Campus of GTIIT was held. Vice Chancellor Prof. David Gershoni, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor & Director General Mr. Yigal Cohen and staff representatives of GTIIT attended the event in witnessing this exciting and significant moment. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Yigal Cohen.

Prof. David Gershoni pointed out that the move to the South Campus is a pivotal step in our university's continuous growth, marking the beginning of a new chapter in GTIIT's development. He extended his heartfelt thanks to all admin departments and staff who had contributed to making this vision a reality, and said that, "We would continue to develop the South Campus into a vibrant hub for knowledge, creativity and technological advancement, which will further contribute to our mission of nurturing talent and fostering innovation."

Prof. Lin Danming said in the speech that this building was the heart of GT staff members' daily work and a super important link to the outside world, showing off what GTIIT was all about. "In this new place, we can't wait to see even more amazing ideas and endless possibilities. We'll keep making our university better by creating a place that's open, clear, and full of energy. Let's build a happy and united team where everyone feels at home and proud of what we do."

"The Administration Building on South Campus of GTIIT is officially open!" announced Mr. Yigal Cohen, amidst thunderous applause and cheers from the audience. At this wonderful moment of bidding farewell to the old and ushering in the new, all members of the GTIIT community celebrated this remarkable achievement in campus construction and looked forward to the prosperous future of the university in the new building.

To date, the fully constructed and operational facilities at GTIIT South Campus include education buildings, administration building, teaching laboratory buildings, canteen, student dormitories, faculty apartments, academic exchange center, sports center, library and other supporting facilities. They seamlessly connect to the well-established teaching, research, and living facilities of the adjacent North Campus, laying a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the university.
