About GCII
In 2023, GTIIT signed an agreement with CICP to jointly establish GCII. Leveraging GTIIT's high-quality scientific research resources and combining the mature incubation system of the CICP, the institute aims to create a high-quality platform for industry-university-research collaboration and a base for innovative talent cultivation.
In July 2024, the Institute was officially inaugurated by Prof. Uri Sivan, President of Technion, and leaders from Changzhou Municipality. Prof. Moris S. Eisen, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT, serves as the director of the Institute.
Currently, the Institute has incubated 10 seed research projects selected from GTIIT, resulting in one formal startup company, five patents, and over ten research papers. It is also preparing to welcome a new batch of seed projects and startup initiatives.
Recently, the Institute was honored with the CICP “Innovation Engine Award”. This award is a high recognition of the Institute's work in promoting university-local cooperation, China-Israel collaboration, and the incubation of scientific and technological achievements.
