On March 25th, GTIIT-Changzhou Innovation Institute (GCII) held the 2025 Project Inauguration Ceremony and 2025 Council Meeting at the China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park (CICP).
Jiang Pengju, Vice Mayor of Changzhou Municipal Government; Prof. Moris S. Eisen, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of GTIIT and Leader of GCII, attended the ceremony and delivered addresses. Yigal Cohen, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Director General of GTIIT; Dr. Queena Yi, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT; Prof. Eli Aljadeff, Head of GTIIT Mathematics and Computer Science program; Chen Feng, Deputy Secretary-General of Changzhou Municipal Government, and representatives from Changzhou Wujin District, the Science and Technology Bureau and CICP, along with some GTIIT faculty members, were also in attendance. The event was hosted by Michael Lv, Director of GTEC and Deputy Director of GCII.
Jiang Pengju noted that GTIIT’s research and industrialization projects have won widespread praise with their top-level scientific achievements and strong market potential. GTIIT actively cooperates with Changzhou enterprises, promoting deep industry-university-research integration, which not only offers companies the chance for technological upgrades but also strongly supports the local technological advancement and economic growth in Changzhou. “This ceremony is a new beginning. Changzhou government will continue to support the development of GCII.” Jiang Pengju remarked.
Prof. Moris S. Eisen pointed out that Technion is a world-renowned research university with over 100-years history which plays a critical role in bringing Israel to be the world known “start-up nation”. GTIIT, as its Chinese campus, also has this kind of spirit and actively conducts cutting-edge research in science and technology. The establishment of GCII offers strong support for academic innovation and practical application, injecting new impetus into the high-quality development of Changzhou and the East China.

About GCII
The China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park (CICP) is the first innovation demonstration park jointly built by the Chinese and Israeli governments. In 2023, GTIIT and CICP signed an agreement to establish the GCII. It focuses on cutting-edge fields like intelligent manufacturing, new energy, healthcare, and synthetic biology for research cooperation and project incubation.
