Do you know the responsibilities of different GTIIT departments?
How to get through the preparatory semester smoothly?
Any nice restaurants near campus?
......
During the preparatory semester, the GTIIT Peer Mentor team, composed of dozens of sophomores and juniors, organized various ice-breaking activities. These activities aimed to help freshmen quickly adapt to university life and overcome initial challenge.
In the gym, yoga room and dorm activity spaces, students from different cities sat together and introduced themselves. The peer mentors then shared their experience at GTIIT through a lively PPT presentation, followed by an open Q&A session.
From brainstorming to build towers with toothpicks and marshmallows, to collaborating on ball-transporting tracks and drawing pictures of new friends with creativity... These well-designed games livened up the scene. What began as a room of strangers soon turned into a circle of friends, as the freshmen bonded through these ice-breaking activities and gained friendship and joy.
About Peer Mentor
The Ice Breaking is one of the activities in the Peer Mentor Program, which has been implemented by GTIIT since 2018. The Program actively responds to various needs of the freshmen in the admission stage through the experience and resources of outstanding senior students. Since the implementation of the project, PMs have become a bridge between the university and freshmen, helping the freshmen to get through the adaptation period as soon as possible and integrate into college life smoothly, as well as gaining great recognition and support from them. At the same time, the program helps in cultivating our students into holistic individuals with a strong sense of values. It greatly facilitates PMs' comprehensive abilities and extracurricular experience.
