The Computational Logic and Applications Winter School, organized by GTIIT Mathematics with Computer Science (MCS) Program, concluded this golden autumn with success. Featuring all-star scholars from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, and Stanford University, alongside GTIIT’s teaching team, the program equipped students with cutting-edge innovations in the field.

Adopting an "introductory tutorials + in-depth sessions" dual-track mode, the three-day intensive curriculum blended theoretical foundations with frontier applications. Johan van Benthem (Jin Yuelin Professor at Tsinghua University and Henry Waldgrave Stuart Professor at Stanford University) together with Fenrong Liu (Professor at Tsinghua University, Amsterdam-China Logic Visiting Chair at the University of Amsterdam and director of the Tsinghua University–University of Amsterdam Joint Research Centre for Logic) delivered a course on Graph Games and Logic Design. In the afternoon Dazhu Li (Associate Professor of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) continued with an exposition on Logics for Games with Graph Updates. Their lectures combined rigorous theoretical derivations with case studies, offering students a knowledge feast brimming with insights.

Prof. Eli Aljadeff, Acting Vice Chancellor of GTIIT and Head of MCS Program, warmly welcomed the visiting scholars and engaged with students throughout the program. He noted that the event created a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue with global thought leaders, further broadening students’ international perspectives and reinforcing GTIIT’s teaching advantage in cross-disciplinary education.

This "mind-bending yet immersive" learning experience earned widespread compliment. Wu, a sophomore majoring in MCS Program, said the course expanded her understanding of computational logic languages: "The speakers started with accessible examples before diving deeper. The content bonded perfectly with our future coursework—it’s incredibly rewarding."

The comprehensive and multi-dimensional international curriculum system is a distinctive advantage of GTIIT's talent cultivation model. Beyond regular master lectures, the daily teaching framework integrates multiple approaches: lectures deliver cutting-edge global knowledge, small-group tutorials facilitate in-depth exploration of disciplinary core concepts, while labs and workshops focus on translating theories into practical skills. This multi-layered approach ensures students not only acquire solid professional knowledge but also develop critical thinking and innovative capacities.

Besides, GTIIT consistently organizes career-sharing sessions, further-study guidance, and alumni dialogues to precisely bridge academic and professional development needs. From the moment students step onto the campus, they are immersed in a world-class resource network, continuously building future-oriented core competencies.
