GTIIT
Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) is the first Sino-foreign cooperative university with an independent legal entity to introduce China with Israel's high-quality higher education resources. As an international level research-oriented university with unique characteristics, its vision is to become a world-class international university, conducting cutting-edge research in the fields of science and technology. In 2018, GTIIT was included in the "High-level University Construction Plan" of Guangdong Province, becoming one of the youngest universities selected for this plan.
Starting from 2018, GTIIT has begun to recruit Master’s and PhD students. Both Master’s and PhD degrees adopt an independent enrolment mode, and the enrolment standard is in accordance with the rules and regulation of Technion. Graduate students will be awarded Master's and Doctoral degrees from the Technion.
Technion
The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) is located in Haifa, Israel, which is known for its innovative and entrepreneurship culture. It was established in 1912 and is the oldest university in Israel. Since its establishment, the Technion has achieved many scientific and technological innovations. It recruited first-class faculty members and gave birth to four Nobel Prize winners. In the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), the Technion consistently ranks within the top 100.
1. Features of GTIIT Graduate Programs
a. Degree awarded by Technion
Master’s and doctoral degrees will be awarded by the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Israel and certified by the Ministry of Education of China.
b. International application
The international admission application system has been adopted. Applicants do not need to take the National Graduate Entrance Examination in China. There are no compulsory requirements in English proficiency test score for candidates in most departments.
c. Dual advisors
A dual-advisors system is implemented. Students will primarily complete their research and studies at GTIIT in Shantou, China. Master’s and doctoral students will spend at least one or two semesters of study and research, respectively, at the Technion in Haifa, Israel.
d. International top faculty recourses
GTIIT recruits world leading international faculty members from top universities and research institutions around the world, ensuring a high level of teaching and research and enabling collaboration and access to a global research community and collaboration.
e. Teaching language
In accordance with the teaching methods and teaching quality assurance system of the Technion, graduate courses are delivered entirely in English at GTIIT and Technion. GTIIT provides students with a multi-cultural, interactive, innovative and international learning environment, and is committed to cultivate pioneering leaders and researchers with innovative ability, global vision and humanistic quality.
f. Fellowship & tuition waiver
A generous scholarship is awarded, and tuition fees are waived.

6. Language Requirements
MSc
No strict requirement for IELTS or TOEFL language score (if you have IELTS or TOEFL scores, it is recommended to provide them as a reference). The graduate studies committee will assess students' English proficiency through an interview in English.
Applicants in Mechanical Engineering are required to provide GRE. Applicants can apply for GRE waiver by providing a recommendation letter from prospective advisor. Applicants for Mechanical Engineering from non-English speaking countries might be required to take a TOEFL test instead.
For the department of Chemistry, applicants might be required to take the GRE, depending upon the decision of the committee following the interview.
PhD
No strict requirement for IELTS or TOEFL language score (if you have IELTS or TOEFL scores, it is recommended to provide them as a reference). The graduate studies committee will assess students' English proficiency through an interview in English.
Applicants for Mechanical Engineering from non-English speaking countries, who are exempt from GRE, might be required to take a TOEFL test instead.
Candidates in most departments can submit four recommendation letters to apply for a GRE exemption (including 1 letter from the Technion future advisor, 1 letter from the Master advisor).
*Candidates who have completed their studies at Technion/GTIIT are exempt from the GRE and language requirement.
7. How to Apply
Step 1: Select your graduate program.
* Finding an advisor at GTIIT prior to registration is a prerequisite.

Step 3: Administrative approval, academic evaluation and recommendation to Technion Graduate School will be issued by GTIIT.
Step 4: Complete the online application form and pay the application fee.
Step 5: Administrative and academic approval will be issued by the Technion.
Step 6: Admission Decision.
