Great Success In GTIIT 2026 Gaokao Admission!

Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) has successfully concluded its 2026 undergraduate admissions, enrolling 700 new students from 15 provinces and municipalities across China. This year, GTIIT strategically expanded enrollment while raising the quality of its incoming students. Multiple key admission indicators hit record highs, and the growing influence of its international brand is propelling GTIIT to new heights in high-quality talent development.

In Guangdong:

Bigger intake, 

higher standards,

nurturing fresh talent 

for the Greater Bay Area.


In 2026, the university planned to admit 390 students within the Guangdong province, but actually enrolled 395, achieving a 101% completion rate. While enrollment steadily expanded, student quality saw an all-round improvement.

  • High-score admits doubled: the number of admits scoring 600+ surged by 127% year-on-year, and those in the 580–600 range grew by 103%.

  • All core metrics rose: average, median, and minimum admission scores increased by 9, 10, and 10 points respectively over the previous year.

  • English proficiency: the average English score of freshmen reached 123, up by 3 points year-on-year.

  • The Greater Bay Area effect was notable: 88% of enrolled students came from the Greater Bay Area, mainly from Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Foshan, while also drawing many outstanding local students from Shantou.

Top provincial enrollees mainly come from prestigious key schools, including: Chaoyang Experimental School in Shantou City, Tung Wah High School of Dongguan City, Shenzhen Experimental School, Shenzhen High School of Science, Shenzhen Second Senior High School, Dongguan Foreign Language School, Shantou Jinshan Middle School, Shenzhen Longgang Longcheng High School, Shimen High School in Nanhai District of Foshan City, The Affiliated High School of South China Normal University, Guangdong Experimental High School, Dongguan Middle School, Shenzhen Senior High School, Shenzhen Nanshan Foreign Languages School (Group) Senior High School, Shenzhen Futian Hongling Middle School (Hongling Education Group), Shenzhen Foreign Languages School, Guangzhou No.2 High School, Dongguan Songshan Lake Future School, Shantou No.1 Middle School, Zhuhai No.2 High School, and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Middle School, among others.

Out of Guangdong:

This year, 305 new students were enrolled from 14 provinces (municipalities), fully meeting the admission target, with overall student quality reaching a new high:

  • Admission standards climbed: All admitted students scored above the local special control line, with the average score exceeding that line by 57 points.

  • Core subject foundations remained solid: Nearly three-quarters of freshmen scored above 120 in English and above 100 in Mathematics.

  • Top-tier admits set multiple records: Six provinces/municipalities—Anhui, Shandong, Zhejiang, Hubei, Fujian, and Chongqing—recorded their highest-ever admission scores, and in 12 provinces/municipalities, the top admission scores met the admission standards of local Project 985 universities in the same batch.

  • Overall quality improved: In Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Sichuan, the minimum admission scores reached the local standards of Project 211 universities; in other provinces/municipalities, the average scores matched those of Project 211 universities.

  • Admission rankings saw significant gains: In Henan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, and Hubei, the minimum admission rankings improved by over 10,000 spots; in Chongqing, Anhui, and Sichuan, the improvement exceeded 15,000 spots. Recognition among out-of-Guangdong students and their families has grown substantially.

This year's freshmen bring both strong academics and well-rounded qualities. Many have excelled in academic competitions, explored boldly in tech innovation, and shone in sports and the arts. Their growth potential is a natural fit for GTIIT's educational vision.

  • Olympiad excellence: Many have won provincial or higher awards in the five major Olympiads, honing rigorous thinking and strong academic foundations for future research.

  • Diverse talents: The cohort includes Level 10 certificate holders in piano, violin, erhu, Latin dance, calligraphy, and sketching, alongside provincial football players, orchestra leaders, student club heads, and talents in Go, chess, film production, and English debate.

  • Tech-savvy innovators: Many are proficient in Python, C, and C++, with hands-on experience in VEX robotics, model aircraft, and AI development—demonstrating outstanding innovative thinking and engineering skills.

This admissions delivered gains in both scale and quality, with an ever-improving student mix and a diverse pool of young talent joining us, building strong momentum for the university's future. Key outcomes fall into three areas:

1. Expanded reach, higher standards
All enrollment targets were met, with admission scores and rankings rising across the board—achieving both broader access and sharper selection.

2. Stronger profiles, greater potential
Every freshman surpassed their province's special control line, with averages rivaling those of top-tier universities. Solid foundations in math, sciences, and English position them well for advanced academic work.

3. Diverse talents, solid groundwork
Within Guangdong Province, the number of mid-to-high scoring students doubled, while top-tier out-of-Guangdong applicants continued to emerge. With well-rounded competencies across the board, this cohort lays a solid foundation for cultivating future innovators.
