A delegation from State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA), led by Xia Bing, director of Office of China Association for International Exchange of Personnel (CAIEP), and Yang Peijun, vice inspector of Guangdong Provincial Branch of State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, visited GTIIT on August 23 for the purpose of preparing for the 4th Meeting of China-Israel Joint Commission on Innovation Cooperation. Yigal Cohen, vice chancellor and general director of GTIIT, and Lin Danming, pro-vice chancellor of GTIIT, attended the meeting.
The meeting of China-Israel Joint Commission on Innovation Cooperation is a bridge of innovation collaboration in fields of science and technology, education, culture, sanitation, and regions, which successfully boosts the China-Israel win- win cooperation based on equality and mutual benefits and contributes to the sustained and sound development of these two countries' relations. Government leaders of the two countries spoke highly of GTIIT at the second and third meetings of China-Israel Joint Commission on Innovation Cooperation in 2016 and 2017. GTIIT also be selected as the representative achievement of the education field of these two countries, participating in the pre-conference exhibition.
The delegation from SAFEA focused on university establishments, faculty members, scientific research achievements and Israeli experts working in GTIIT.
Director Xia affirmed GTIIT's contribution to boosting local economic development and enhancing China-Israel cooperation. He pointed out that, China is undergoing rapid development and GTIIT should make full use of its advantages to accelerate talents introduction, promote international exchanges and cooperation, and achieve long-term development. "To bring a brilliant future for every student, GTIIT should go on strengthen in-depth cooperation with Technion in aspects of talents introduction and scientific research innovation." More active and open policies will be implemented by State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Guangdong Provincial Branch of State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and Shantou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau to further promote GTIIT's talents introduction.
