GTIIT 2018 cohort spent a special Chinese Valentine's Day on August 17th, the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. There are no roses, no candles, no movies, no cheesy pick-up lines, but everyone realized the truth of how to live a meaningful life at GTIIT.
How is the life at Technion?

Wang Han
(Chemical Engineering 2019, Technion)
Wang Han's sharing can be divided into five parts, including teaching characteristics, English teaching model and academic life, and so on. Taking herself as an example, she shared the process of reading materials, doing literature review, and finally participating in the project under the guidance of professors. She called for GTIIT freshmen to further enrich the theoretical knowledge and actively participate in the experiments. When talking about language difficulties, "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid to make mistakes" is repeatedly mentioned by Wang Han. When she said that professors would buy cakes for them during the exam period so that they would not feel too sad, all of the freshmen smiled. Finally, she encouraged them to keep a balance between study and life and live a meaningful college life.

Yu Zitao
(Mechanical Engineering 2021, Technion)
Yu Zitao said that he felt confused at the beginning but now is on the right track. He shared the interesting taxi driver, the crazy dance, the tranquil Sabbath and the strange environment with the freshmen, making them all laugh. He also pointed out that there were some differences between university and high school in terms of teaching models and encouraged them to make preparations by making good use of GTIIT's abundant resources, publishing papers, and actively participating in experiments. "Set your goals and make them happen!"
Jiang Xin
(Biotechnology and Food Engineering 2020, Technion)
Through a series of pictures and detailed introductions, Jiangxin introduced the cultural customs, religious beliefs and natural landscapes in Israel to GTIIT freshmen. Taking herself as an example, she once got a full mark but the professor inadvertently gave her a wrong one. Therefore, Jiang Xin suggested that everyone should take the initiative to contact teachers when they meet dificulties. She attached great importance to responsibility. "Try your best and you will take your life from average to awesome."
Later, peer mentors also shared their experiences of studying and living at GTIIT.

In the Q&A session, the freshmen enthusiastically asked questions about how to overcome language difficulties, arrange courses reasonably, adapt to unfamiliar environments and apply for scientific research projects. All questions were answered by invited guests based on their experiences of studying and living.

The two-hour sharing drew to a successful conclusion. Some freshmen added their senior classmates' WeChat for further communication.
