In order to further strengthen the campus fire safety, enhance teacher-student fire safety awareness, and improve their self-rescue ability, GTIIT cooperating with Branch of Shantou Municipal Fire Bureau, organized provincial demonstration course of fire safety on August 25. GTIIT 2018 cohort, faculty representatives, and members of the campus micro-fire station participated in the activity.
Guest from Branch of Shantou Municipal Fire Bureau, offered a comprehensive introduction to safe escape and fire report based on typical campus fire cases.
When the alarm bell rang at 10:30 am, GTIIT 2018 cohort evacuated the auditorium orderly under the guidance of fire officers and teachers. Fire officer also demonstrated the proper use of fire hydrant hoses, gas masks and fire extinguishers, after which some students were invited to use them.
The activity drew to a successful conclusion and some freshmen further discussed issues about how to deal with fire under different circumstances with fire officers.

The video taken during the activity will be promoted to 150 universities across Guangdong Province as demonstration course of fire safety.
